Urgent Recall: Walmart, Aldi Pizzas and Pork Snacks Pulled Over Salmonella Fears
Health officials have issued a nationwide public health alert and urgent recall for thousands of chicken and bacon pizzas, breakfast pizzas, and pork rind snacks sold at major retailers including Walmart and Aldi. The recall stems from a potential contamination with Salmonella, a life-threatening bacteria.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) issued the warning on Friday, noting that the affected products were manufactured using a dry milk powder that had previously been recalled for Salmonella contamination.
While no illnesses have been reported to date, officials are aggressively raising the alarm to prevent severe foodborne outbreaks.

The Health Risks: What You Need to Know About Salmonella
The CDC estimates that Salmonella causes approximately 1.35 million infections, 26,500 hospitalizations, and 420 deaths in the United States every single year.
Symptoms of Infection: Symptoms typically appear between 6 hours and 6 days after consuming contaminated food and include:
-
Diarrhea
-
Abdominal cramps
-
Fever
Who is Most at Risk? While healthy adults usually recover from a Salmonella infection within a week without requiring specific treatment, the bacteria poses a severe threat to vulnerable populations. Infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems face a high risk of developing severe diarrhea, which can lead to potentially fatal dehydration if not treated promptly.
In severe cases, Salmonella infections are diagnosed via a stool test and treated with a course of antibiotics.
Anyone who has consumed these products and believes they are experiencing symptoms is urged to contact their local healthcare provider immediately.
